IMac issue

Recently my iMac had a loss of power and Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions helped me diagnose the issue even thought I was not in their office. They made a sound recommendation that will solve the problem.

Will and his team of MACgicians S-A-V-E-D me! I've always been a PC user and recently decided to join this century and purchased a MacBook Air. I had it just about three weeks before it had a major accident...a rendered unusable sort of accident. After calling several other companies, I called Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions and spoke to Will (the owner). I told him about the fate that had befallen my beloved computer and his response was, "no problem, bring it in." His explanation of how to retrieve the data instantly put me at ease. He was able to salvage everything: years and years worth of files, some new software I had purchased and coincidentally lost the disks for, all my emails, bookmarks and photos! On top of all that, he was able to then file it all away properly on my new computer. There were no "clean rooms" and there weren't any sort of mysterious processes like another vendor had descried. And their prices are so, SO reasonable. I would have paid 3x that to get all this information back!

Later that day I had logged in to my new computer and remembered a question I had meant to ask him about something else unrelated. I called to ask, and he offered to fix it for me by logging into my computer remotely using TeamViewer (my old company used to use that software so I was comfortable with this--I know how it works). Talk about customer service! It wasn't even related to the original problem, it was just a question about a functionality on my computer that I didn't know how to change. He just whizzed right around on it and fixed it with no effort. He also pointed out a great mac tutorial site to me so I could learn how to use my computer more effectively.

I will not hesitate to use Mid Atlantic Computer Solutions again in the future. They are GREAT!!!

I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Will and his team of MACgicians S-A-V-E-D me! I've always been a PC user and recently decided to join this century and purchased a MacBook Air (which I LOOOOOVE, incidentally). I had it just about three weeks before it had a major accident...a rendered unusable sort of accident that I can hardly speak of without getting mad all over again. I thought it was not salvageable. I ran to the Apple Store in tears asking for guidance, and oh how they steered me wrong. They recommended a place called Kroll Ontrak way down I66. I drove out there with my machine and left it with them for three days to "analyze it," for which they charged me $65. They called me back once it had been brought back from "the clean room," whatever that is, and told me that they had taken the liberty of beginning the downloading process. I thought that was all really considerate until they gave me the quote for this service. And I choked on it. It wasn't much really; they only wanted my mercedes and my first born child. And there was no room for negotiation. None. So I took back my computer, paid them for their so called analysis, and was on my merry way.

I turned to Yelp and found MACS in Alexandria---what a stroke of luck that turned out to be! I called and spoke to Will (the owner). I have never had a problem which you could not fix. You seem to be as effective in making repairs over the telephone as when visiting in person. I only wish that the process of making an appointment could be made easier.

The "quality of support" I received from Emalee Firestein was considerably better than "Good" - the highest rating available. She resolved in short order a problem with AppleMail that three hours with AppleCare technicians (including 1 1/2 hours of wait-time) were unable to solve.. Emalee was direct, friendly, well-organized, intuitive - and followed up to be certain that the problem had not recurred. I am most grateful for her patience and efficiency.

Have always found the guys at Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions to be very responsive - and they do solve the problem!

We have worked with Will O'Neal and his team at MACs for about 5 years. During that period we left them to go with a larger company that promised more at a lower cost. That lasted about 6 months. The other company could not deliver on their promises. We called MACs back and hired them again. They have delivered on all that the other company had promised with a minimal difference in cost. The service and response time is excellent. ALWAYS available when I call or email. MACs has introduced us to products that help with productivity and efficiency. They have implemented those tools and spent time teaching us how to use them. If you are looking for a great IT company that is professional, knowledgable and wonderful to work with then Mid-Atlantic Computer Solution is the one to choose.
