If you want your employees to work at the best possible pace with the most motivation, then sometimes you have to change a thing or two to get them on the right track. Here are just a few ideas to get you started in the right direction.

Always Make Sure You’re Clear

Not every employee is going to understand something the first time you say it. This doesn’t mean they’re dumb or they weren’t listening, but it does mean you will need to repeat yourself. Sometimes you’ll have to repeat yourself more than once, and that’s okay, as long as the employee eventually understands what you’re looking for.

Trust Your Employees

If you hire someone and you don’t trust them, then you’re making an awful mistake. You should only hire people you trust now or can see yourself trusting in the near future. You should be able to feel confident about your employee choices, and they should be able to feel at ease in your presence because you know they are doing what you are telling them to do.

Make it Smell Nice

Don’t skimp out on pretty smells. Make sure the smell you choose isn’t overwhelming, but make sure it’s noticeable too. The last thing you want is your office smelling like a bar because you couldn’t afford to replace the carpets before you moved in. Be more reasonable and make sure the scents in every part of the office are good (even the bathrooms).
